Looking in the mirror✨️




If you could take your fitness to the next level what would you do? This past week, in addition to my regular workout routine, I have been making it my new goal to include 10,000 steps daily. This is something I have had to get creative about, as I am now in town Monday through Thursday until 7:30 at night. Last week, I brought my 5lb hand weights for walking and two of my 15 lb kettlebells for a regular workout. My plan was to start with a strength training routine at Bayfront soccer field after dropping off my son. I usually have an hour or 45 minutes before I take my daughter to dance. This is enough time to do upper or lower body, intermixing abs during the 20 second breaks. At first, I was feeling awkward, feeling a bit exposed at the field where people can see you working out. Once I got over the fact that alot of people work out down there, not to mention nobody cares, I started to really enjoy it. I decided if I had to stay in town, I might as well make the most efficient use of my time. 
       Staying active, especially as I get closer to 40, has been my ultimate goal, in the world we live in. In order to stay healthy emotionally and physically, one must take everything into consideration; how many hours of sleep, the food we ingest, how many steps are we taking, are we focusing on being healthy amongst a world of demands?  Am I being the best version of myself that I can be? This is so important to be mindful among a world losing sight of ethics, of propriety, of looking out for the environment, accepting everyone for who they are, not being a follower, not getting lost in one's own greed and personal gain. Being mindful to stay true to oneself and others. Just one individual can make a difference because in the end, there are many others out there with the same ideals. So I am closing on this note; love is love, all people have the right to the dream regardless of race, gender, sexual status etc. nature is our protector if we in turn take care of her. At the end of the day can you look yourself in the mirror and say "I am a good person?" Is this supposed to be the world as we know it? I think not my friends and this is why it is important to take care of yourself mentally, physically and above all be a protector for those who cannot stand up to bullies. Be the good, the strong, the love we need in this world. Be the reason for someone to live another day. Be the best version of yourself.
